BY EDMOND ODOK – The Tinubu Faithful Group (TFG) has inaugurated the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter with a promise to ensure the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerges Nigeria’s president in this year’s general election.
National Coordinator of the Group, Hon Olusola Orelaja, who formally launched the chapter in Abuja on Thursday, described it as “a major milestone in our drive to back our desired principal become the next President of Nigeria”.
Addressing the crowd of party loyalists from across the FCT that graced the occasion, Orelaja said it was an important day for the support group whose key priority among others is building “a structure committed to helping The Faithful Group become bigger, and better nationwide” as a strong movement and vehicle for the ‘City Boy’s victory come Saturday, February 25, 2023.
He lauded the TFG National and State Executives for their sleepless nights’ efforts, time, and financial support in driving the Group’s activities and programmes so far, saying; “I just want you to know that your commitment to TGF and willingness to step up and do what needs to be done, even if it falls outside your roles do not go unnoticed”.
Particularly having words of praise for the FCT Coordinator, Comrade Fred Idehai, his Deputy, Dr Temi Gold, and TFG National Woman Leader, Mrs Abiola Suleiman over their strong support for the TFG, the National Coordinator further said; “To the TFG Abuja Coordinator and its executives, Thank you for your hard work. Thanks for your contribution today, You really went above and beyond.
“Collectively, we will continue our efforts to support our principal to build a renewed hope for all Nigerians” come February 2023 and beyond.
Responding on behalf of the FCT Executives and members, the FCT Coordinator, Comrade Frederick Idehai said Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been ordained by God to take Nigeria to the ‘Promised Land’ come the February presidential polls.
According to him, going by Tinubu’s antecedents as the man who fixed Lagos State when he was Governor and founded the defunct Alliance for Democracy (AD), he “is still relevant in Nigerian politics” today.
On his award, which he dedicated to the FCT executives for their ‘teamwork’, Idehai appreciated National Coordinator and his team for the huge sacrifice in inaugurating the Chapter, even as he also offered thanks to States Coordinators from Taraba, Kogi, Nasarawa, and Niger for their show of love and solidarity.
Formerly loyal to Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo during the APC presidential primaries, the political group thereafter metamorphosed into TFG after the Vice President officially declared support for Asiwaju Tinubu, who emerged as the APC Standard bearer.
