Tinubu ‘ll Sweep Clean APC Primaries – Senator
- Says Kano, Borno, Katsina, other delegates already in kitty
BY SEGUN ADEBAYO – An All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart in Ekiti State, Senator Tony Adeniyi, has boasted that the ruling party’s presidential primary election will be a clean sweep for former Lagos State governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu
According to him, the APC National Leader’s presidential campaign train is a hurricane ready to sweep away and put all contestants in their proper place at the forthcoming primaries.
Addressing members of the Tinubu Hope for Nigeria Vanguard in Akure, the Ekiti state capital, Senator Adeniyi, who represented Ekiti South senatorial district in the 7th National Assembly, said given Asiwaju Tinubu’s antecedents, there will be no stopping him at the polls.
He disclosed that contrary to insinuations in certain quarters by political jobbers, some prominent Northern political figures actually engineered the Tinubu for President’s clamour that is now spreading like wildfire across the country.
“They urged us to begin the Southwest Agenda for Tinubu, knowing that he has the capacity and wherewithal to seamlessly take over from President Buhari”, the former lawmaker said.
For him, it would be impossible for any aspirant in the ruling party to withstand the Asiwaju Tinubu’s hurricane in his strongholds like Kano, Kwara, Kaduna, Sokoto, Borno, and Katsina, among other key northern states.
Further bragging about the Asiwaju’s presidential project, Senator Adeniyi said; “Tinubu has the vision and passion to develop Nigeria. In politics it is not easy to stand and take a position.
“Asiwaju has done a lot to prepare for this day. Tinubu is already there. He has been going around the country selling his candidature the best possible way.”
“Nobody can defeat Asiwaju Tinubu in Kano, Kaduna, Borno, Katsina, Sokoto and Kwara among other places. He will get 100 per cent of the votes from these places”, Adeniyi boasted.
Adeniyi, whose ambition of returning to the Senate in 2015 was thwarted by former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State and Senator Mrs Abiodun Olujimi, seriously believes that Tinubu’s presidency will bring good tidings to Nigeria come 2023.
