It is more trouble for travellers to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as Immigration authorities in the Middle East nation have slammed a visa ban on Nigerians seeking to visit Dubai.
The ban conveyed in a notice issued to the country’s trade partners in Nigeria, including travel agents, also indicated that all submitted applications are rejected and fees non-refundable.
Though no official reason was given for the decision, it was gathered that the development is part of the recent measures taken by the UAE Immigration authorities in relation to their engagement with Nigerians.
A notice sighted by our correspondent stated thus; “All Dubai applications submitted are now rejected. It is general for Nigerians and approvals are on hold at the moment.
“Kindly advise your clients to resubmit C2=A0 applications when the issue is resolved between both governments.”
According to the Dubai authorities, all applications were on-hold until issues between the UAE government and the Nigerian government were resolved.
The latest decision affects all Nigerians seeking to travel to the UAE and the rejections will be sent in batches.
