Vision Africa Radio Holds 2019 ICON Awards Sunday
BY SEGUN ADEBAYO, ABUJA- The Vision Africa Radio –104.1FM, in collaboration with its partners in the United State of America, is set to host the 2019 ICON AWARD event this Sunday November 3, 2019. The event, which is to be chaired by the former governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Victor Attah, will also be attended by the Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, who is to serve as the Special Host.
The Vision Africa (VA) ICON Awards that is to hold under the theme, ‘Peace and Security: Panacea for Sustainable Development,’ according to the Founder/Chairman of Vision Africa, Bishop Sunday Onuoha, “is presented to individuals who, over an extended period, have created lasting and meaningful legacies in the grassroots community; emerging professionals that have shown promising leadership within the community, individuals who have made a significant contribution to community development or institutions/NGOs that have increased the community’s engagement through social media campaign programs.
“This is in accordance with our commitment to raise young people for peace-building in Nigeria. In the last five years, we have been committed to bringing them to the limelight, especially in the South-East and South-South zones.”
The event is slated to hold at 1pm at the Michael Okpara Auditorium Bank Road Umuahia, Abia State.
