BY SEGUN ADEBAYO, ABUJA – The people of Kogi State have been called upon to re-elect Governor Yahaya Bello on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for a second term in the forthcoming November 16 governorship election in order to realise tremendous development for the state.

The Coordinator of Kogi APC Grassroots Mobilisers, Mrs Sarah Enechojo, declared that considering the development strides of the governor in the last four years, and the appointment of Hon Friday Nicodemus Adejoh as the administrator of the Olamoboro Local Government Area,   her community and the entire state stand to gain if they re-elect Governor Bello.

Enechojo, who was full of praises for Governor Bello, noted that his choice of administrators to head the local councils in the state has assisted in bringing development to communities hitherto abandoned by past administrations.

According to her, “I recently visited my village, Achupu Ojugbo Imane in Olamaboro Local Government of Kogi State and realised that not much has been achieved in terms of providing infrastructure like roads to link my village to the main Ayangba/Ankpa road. We also have a challenge of accessing clean water, electricity, primary school and rural Primary Health Centre, among others.

“After observing these lapses in my earlier visit, I resolved to reach out to Olamoboro LGA chairman for intervention. However, I got in touch with the APC Ward Executive Committee, as well as that of the Local Government level. When finally I contacted the Local Government Administrator, Hon Friday Nicodemus Adejoh, he granted me audience and expressed happiness over my interest in the developments of my village despite being married elsewhere.

“Early last month, September, during my second visit, Hon Adejoh kept to his promise by performing the foundation-laying ceremony of a 3-block classroom. Since then he has shown personal commitment to the project that is expected to be completed and commissioned by October 2019.”

Besides embarking on the construction of a 3-block classroom, the less than 3-kilometre road is to be graded after the raining period.

In her words: “This gesture clearly shows that Hon Adejoh who was appointed by Governor Bello is indeed a performer who is emulating the good works of his boss, Governor Bello.

“My community and the entire Olamoboro Local Government Area is in full support of the re-election of the governor. Achupu Ojugbo Community is pleased with the development and has pledged its total support to APC during the forthcoming governorship election, more so that our son from Olamaboro LGA, the present Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Edward Onoja, is on the joint ticket with the governor.
