All Progressives Congress (APC) Woman Leader for the North Central Zone, Princes Zahrah Audu has described the Governor Nyesom Wike-led G-5 governors as political terrorists trying to hold everyone to ransom.

Princess Audu said she does not see what value the so-called G-5 governor will be bringing to the APC which already has very strong stakeholders that could easily overrun them in their states.

The APC Woman Leader, who stated these while lending her voice to the activities of the G-5, vehemently condemned their activities, stressing that the style of politics the G-5 governors are playing is a “new low, extremely unprincipled” which must not be encouraged if Nigeria’s democracy is to develop.

In the words of Princess Audu; “I have never seen where a Governor has a Senate party ticket and publicly say they will support another party for another position. It is a new low and it is not something that should be encouraged.

“In Benue for example, we have Senator George Akume, we also have an extremely popular candidate for Governor, Rev. Father Alia. So, of what value is Ortom to us in the APC? In Rivers we have Hon. Amaechi and so many other critical stakeholders. So, what do we need Wike for? In fact, how can we trust such people? she asked.
Princess Audu, who stated these during an interview, advised the APC leadership to trade with caution and should not waste its time with the so-called G-5 members in order not to drag the party into the mud.

The Woman Leader, therefore, called on the leadership Of the APC, particularly its Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahed Tinubu to focus on using the APC Governors, candidates, and stakeholders but, should ignore the G-5 Governors who are more like political terrorists.

She stressed that the 2023 General Elections will not be about one leader telling the people who to vote for, adding that the G-5 Governors are not even sure who their immediate family members will be voting for.

Princess Audu further said; “Personally, I don’t care about the G-5 governors especially Governor Wike, their arrowhead, who on different occasions, made it known that he remains in PDP and he will never leave the party he has contributed to since 1998.

She noted that recently, there are indications that following the lingering crisis in the PDP, things are not going in the favour of Wike and his cohorts, who want the National Chairman removed to pave way for a Southern chairman.

Princess Audu said that the G-5 governors should not be allowed to disrupt the peace and cohesion the APC is enjoying in their states, especially in Benue where the party has major key actors who have put in their best for the party.

“We cannot afford a situation where someone will just come on board to hijack the structures of the Party from those that have worked so hard to develop the APC. Although the victory of the party is very key as an election is won on numbers, we must not take for granted the peace, cohesion, and stability of the party in these states” she said.

She noted that some of these Governors such as Samuel Ortom of Benue State won his governorship election on the APC platform after the ill-treatment meted on him in the PDP in 2015 but, later returned to the PDP after riding on the APC horse to victory.

According to her; “The APC has sellable candidates in Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kassim Shetima and there is no way the G-5 would be a deciding factor in the party’s victory in the 2023 elections.

“The APC should not be a dumping ground for the rejected and disgruntled elements of the PDP who are outcasts in their party, to take refuge and asylum in the AAPC without minding the danger they pose to the peaceful coexistence in the Party”, she stressed.
