Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has urged residents of the Territory, particularly voters in the scheduled Saturday, February 21, Area Councils elections, to do what is expected of them and leave the rest for him.
Wike pointedly said that he is not like other politicians that talk stories, but prefers to act accordingly, thus tasked voters in the scheduled Area Councils elections to participate actively.
He particularly urged the voters and residents in the FCT to support only candidates who can effectively represent their interests and work with authorities to deliver development.
Wike, who stated these in a video televised by Channels Television, stressed the importance of electing leaders who can engage constructively with government officials to ensure progress in their communities.
The Minister noted that leadership requires cooperation and alignment in order to achieve meaningful results, and emphasised that voters must carefully consider the individuals they choose to represent them.
In the words of Wike; “Do your own on Saturday and leave the other one for me. All those politicians that come to talk stories, I’m not part of them. My own is talk and do. So, I told this man, “I said, look, you have to vote for somebody that can talk to me, and I’ll listen to him.”
“You should not vote for somebody that when I go left, he goes right; when I go front, he goes back,” he insisted.
