You’ve Become An Aide To Wike – Oyo APC Tells Gov. Seyi Makinde
The All Progressives Congress (APC), Oyo State chapter has said that Governor Seyi Makinde has converted himself to an aide of his Rivers State counterpart, Governor Nyesom Wike, who is also his political godfather.
This was as the Party said that Makinde’s quest for another term in office is an affront targeted at the good people of Oyo State who have gained little or nothing from his administration in the last 40 months.
These were contained in a statement by Olawale Shadare, State Publicity Secretary of the APC, in which it noted that Makinde has abandoned governance and chose to be following Governor Wike about like an aide.
It particularly noted that Makinde has so far performed woefully since he assumed office in May 2019.
Shadare said that Makinde has desecrated the status of Oyo as a pacesetter state by turning the office of the Governor of Oyo state to that of an aide of Governor Wike.
According to the APC; “Interestingly, the song on the lips of conscious and discerning indigenes and residents of Oyo state is that Gov. Makinde should endeavour to stop the further desecration of the pacesetter status of the state.
“Even if he cannot pick any good thing from Gov. Wike, who is obviously his Godfather, he should desist from acting like an aide to his Rivers state colleague henceforth.
“We would also like to put it on record that Governor Makinde’s quest to be relevant at the level of national politics is ill-advised and a clear indication that he does not have any serious thing to do with governance again in the state,” the Oyo APC said.
