Yuletide: NNPC Assures Nigerians On Adequate PMS Supply
BY VICTOR BUORO, ABUJA – Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) has given assurance that it is working tirelessly towards ensuring an adequate supply of petrol to every part of the country during and beyond the forthcoming festive period.
Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, NNPC, Mr Garba Muhammad, who made the pledge in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday, also expressed appreciation to Nigerians for always heeding its advisories not to engage in panic buying of petrol.
The statement said; “The NNPC is once again giving Nigerians strong assurance that we have product sufficiency that will last far beyond the festive period.
“Indeed, our stock has risen from a reserve of 1.7 billion litres to over two billion litres within the last one month.”
Accordingly, the NNPC spokesman urged Nigerians to shun panic buying and focus fully on enjoying the spirit of the festive season.
The statement, which lauded Nigerians for their continued understanding and support, further assured that NNPC will not relent, in always ensuring that there is an adequate supply of petrol across the country at all times, adding; “We wish you all happy celebrations.”
