Zonkwa House Of Assembly Candidate Purchases JAMB Forms For 100 Students
BY AMOS TAUNA, KADUNA – An All Progressive Congress, A PC, House of Assembly candidate, Zonkwa constituency in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna state, Mr Iliya Anthony Timbuark, has purchased 100 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms for students who scored five credits, including English language and Mathematics.
The gesture, according to him, is to encourage and promote educational development of youths of the constituency to take their studies seriously.
The House of Assembly hopeful stated that the gesture was one of the ways he is giving back to society where he was nurtured, adding, “I want people in Zonkwa constituency to start feeling my impact even before my emergence as a member of the State House of Assembly.
“The gesture is being carried out to promote the education of my people via ‘I Have Adopted A Child’s Education’, a structure I have established to cater for the educational needs of the youth.”
He added, “I have organised free lessons on five subjects, which will be taught in different Centres that cut across the five Wards that made up Zonkwa constituency.
“This is to enable them be acquainted with the subjects to enhance them score higher marks. Those who scored the required JAMB points will eventually secure admission into various universities or colleges they applied for. My target is to educate my people because education is the best way to eradicate poverty in the land.”
He appealed to the people to come out en mass and vote for him as he promised to do more if elected.
He cautioned the people, especially the youth, to conduct themselves before and after the general elections in a peaceful manner.
“We must join hands to conscientise our people on the need to vote for young and vibrant politicians who will deliver good governance to the people, irrespective of party affiliation,” he declared.
