11 killed in Plateau As Lalong Tours London

BY CHAMBERLAIN ODEY, JOS – More innocent blood is being wasted daily in Plateau as another set of 11 persons were brutally killed by unknown assailants in Biyal village, Riyom Local Government Area of the state.

This is even as Governor Simon Lalong continues his tour of London.

The Special Military Task Force (STF) confirmed the incident that took place on Tuesday night, saying only nine persons were killed in the attack.

But, the Plateau State Police Command in a statement confirming the incident, confirmed that 11 persons were killed in the attack.

This savage turn of events is coming barely four days after some assassins gunned down the chairman of the Jos East chapter of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Mr. Waziri Isa Furson.

The State Police Command and the Special Military Task Force said security has been beefed up in the affected village and environs, as efforts to arrest the perpetrators of the bloody act continues.

There have been renewed acts of ambushes, attacks, and sundry forms of bloody violence in Plateau since September this year.
