The controversy surrounding the love tango between popular Nigeria music star, 2Face Idibia has taken a new dimension as a trending video showing his mother, Mrs Rose Idibia pleading with his latest found love, Natasha Osawaru to free her son.
In the video, Mrs Rose Idibia complained that his son is no longer behaving normally as he has refused to pick her calls nor returned her calls.
2Face Idibia recently engaged Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly even when he is yet to formalise his divorce with his wife, Annie thereby attracting divergent views and opinion on the matter.
However, in the trending video, the mother of 2Face was seen and heard urging the Edo State lawmaker, Hon Natasha Osawaru, who is the Deputy Majority Leader of the House to remove the beads she put on 2Face neck and hands and “free her son”.
Mrs Rose Idibia also said in the viral video that her son, 2Face has refused to pick her calls and also stopped calling her, saying that he knows her son too well and knows that he is not in his proper frame of mind and is currently undergoing divorce process with his estranged wife, Annie.
Mrs. Idibia also called on kind hearted Nigerian mothers to assist her beg Natasha to release her son.
A transcription of part of the the video states; “Good evening, Nigerians. My name is Mrs. Rose Idibia. This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State.
“I am calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son. My son is going through a divorce process. I know my son.
“Please, Natasha, the beads you put on his right hand and neck, remove them and free him,” she said.
Mrs Rose Idibia’s appeal in the trending video has further fueled speculations and debates, with some netizens who interpreted her statement as suggesting that Natasha has an undue influence over 2Face while others are of the view that 2Face is conscious and fully aware of his actions and decisions thus, should be allowed to carry on.
The viral video followed the ongoing controversy over 2Face engagement to Natasha, which has drawn criticisms from both fans and members of the public including media personality, Ossai Ovie Success, who warned that the singer risks imprisonment if he proceeds with the marriage before finalizing his divorce.
