BY AMOS TAUNA, KADUNA – An angry Governor Nasir el-Rufai on Friday rained curses on the three Senators representing Kaduna State for their role in the National Assembly’s rejection of the $350 million World Bank loan request by Kaduna State government.

Speaking at the official handing over of party flags to candidates of All Progressive Congress (APC) ahead of the local government elections into the 23 local government areas at the Kaduna township stadium, Mallam el-Rufai described the senators as enemies of the state’s progress and prayed that God should punish them.

Unrestrained and throwing caution to the wind, the governor said, “They are useless representatives who are against the approval of the loan, such that the school, roads, hospitals and other good projects started in the state are not completed.

Further letting his emotions run wild, the governor said; “Today, there are no enemies of Kaduna State like Suleiman Hunkuyi, Shehu Sani and Danjuma Laah. May God punish then and pay them back with their intentions.”

“May God punish them and pay them back with their intentions,” the governor fumed, adding; “They have shown that they are bastards, who don’t know their roots and must be shown that they have no roots in Kaduna.”

Delivering more tirades at the lawmakers, Governor el-Rufai said; “When it is time for election, they should be shown through the ballot papers that they are not wanted to go back to Abuja.”

He however lauded members of the Kaduna State House of Assembly for endorsing and supporting the state government’s quest for the loan, saying; ”May God bless our members of the State Assembly for their support and pay them back in returns, and may God return them to their seats.”

Earlier this year, the three Senators from Kaduna state; Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi (Kaduna North), Shehu Sani (Kaduna Central) and Danjuma Laah (Kaduna South) were unanimous in their rejection of the loan for the State advancing several reasons, including lack of openness and transparency by the State government, for their position.
