Abducted Spouse of Kaduna Medical Doctor Brutally Murdered By Kidnappers

…As abductors demand N20m for release of her two kids

BY VICTOR BUORO – The bullet riddled body of the wife of a Kaduna-based medical practitioner, Dr. Philip Ataga, who was abducted by kidnappers along with her two children on January 25, 2020 has been found.

The Late Mrs. Atatge and her two children made up of a boy and a girl were abducted from their home situated in Juji, a community in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State by kidnappers that invade the quiet village during which they killed a member of a local vigilante group in the process.
The body of Late Mrs. Ataga was picked up by the police after the kidnappers told Dr. Ataga where they left the remains along the Abuja-Kaduna highway.

The deadly kidnappers had demanded for N150 million as ransom to enable them free the late Mrs Ataga and her two children.
In spite of the killing of the mother of two, the whereabouts of her children remains unknown even as the kidnappers are still demanding from Dr. Ataga to produce N20 million if he desires to see and have his children alive.
The Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna State Police Command, DSP Yakubu Sabo, confirmed that the riddled remains of the body of Late Mrs. Ataga was located in a bush in Kakau village along the Kaduna-Abuja dual carriage highway, adding that the corpse has been deposited in a mortuary.

Sabo also confirmed the demand of N20 million as ransom for the release of the two children.
