BY AMOS TAUNA, KADUNA – A member of the House of Representatives from Jigawa State, Hon Sani Zoro, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government has no plans of implementing restructuring as canvassed by some groups and individuals in their current agitations

This s just as he said that the on-going agitations by different groups in the country will soon fizzle out about six months from now.

Zorro, who stated these in Kaduna during a chat with journalists, said the agitations emanated from long years of military rules as well as being a result of vacuums created by lack of political activities for so long a time.

The federal lawmaker, who was in Kaduna on fact finding mission and solidity visit to Nigeria Union Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna Council over the recent assault by sponsored political thugs on its members, said by the time political activities begin to take shape and politicians begin to move from the South to North, East and West and vice versa, the agitations would get consumed.

Zorro, a former National President of the NUJ further said; “I strongly believe that agitations, whether restructuring or Biafran and others will fizzle out six months from now when political activities take-off.

“For the people of Niger Delta and South Western states, restructuring means resource control and return to regional governance, while for Atiku Abubakar-led northern agitators, it means devolution of power from the center to the federating units.”

Zorro noted that the current agitations is not the fault of the politicians, adding; “We found ourselves where we are now, but the military sabotage our march to democracy in 1966, through misguided and irresponsible coup and must be blame for undermining parliamentary democracy by killing the leaders of the country.”

The lawmaker also said it may sound controversial that he was not in support of the agitations for Biafra and the quit notice issued by some Northern youths.
