The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio has banned his colleagues-senators, members of the House of Representatives, Assembly staff and aides from passing in front of his office.
This was contained in a memo by Brig-Gen Etido E Ekρο (retd), Sergent-At-Arms of the National Assembly, stating that that all lawmakers and aides are now restricted from the White House lobby.
The memo dated October 2, 2025, and addressed to the Chairman of the Senate Services, further directed lawmakers to disseminate the information to their aides and personal assistants.
It specifically stated that the National Assembly has now restricted all senators, members of the House of Representatives and their aides from passing the long corridor in front of the office of the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
It stated; “All aides or personal assistants would not be allowed into the said corridor,” the memo stressed.
