The Senator representing Kaduna Central, on the platform of Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Shehu Sani, has warned Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote to be wary of the ‘broom’.

Senator Sani’s warning and reference to the broom follows Dangote’s appointment as a member of the Special Advisory Committee to President Muhammadu Buhari, for the 2019 presidential Campaign,

In a message on his official tweeter handle, the smooth-talking lawmaker charged Alhaji Dangote against using the broom anyhow, even as he counseled business mogul to rather maintain the use of his machine concrete mixer.

“Dear Bro Aliko, don’t use Broom to reinforce your silos, don’t use Broom as your plasterboard; don’t use Broom to mix your concrete, maintain the use of your machine concrete mixer”, Senator Sani said.

In a related development, the former All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator expressed concerns over the allegations surrounding ownership of Telecommunications giants, Etisalat Nigeria and Keystone Bank Plc.

He was speaking against the backdrop of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, claims that his APC counterpart, President Muhammadu Buhari and his family have acquired substantial shares with Etisalat and Keystone Bank.

According to him, Buhari’s family share in Etisalat, has an estimated $2 billion (about N727 billion at 360 per dollar) of its estimated $20 billion global net worth.

Similarly, Atiku said the shares in Keystone Bank, are valued at $1.916 billion (equivalent to N307.5billion).

Furthermore, he accused Mr President’s family of purchasing about N3 billion worth of shares in the new Pakistani Islamic Bank.

However, in a statement issued on Thursday, the Presidency blasted Atiku Abubakar for trying desperately to dent the image of Buhari and his Vice, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, whom the Party maintained were incorruptible.

Senator Sani said given these allegations and counter accusations, it has become imperative for both companies to publish their respective share holders to clear the dark clouds.

“In view of the moral dust raised by the questions on the shares of the two firms now on the scale of integrity, Etisalat and Keystone should publish the full names of their shareholders, to exhale the billows of smoke and clear the dark clouds hanging over the landscape of our nation”, he said

The lawmaker also urged Nigerians who have any evidential proof against Atiku or Buhari to submit them to the relevant anti corruption agency.

“If you have any concrete case of corruption against the ex VP, forward it to the relevant anti corruption agency; If you have any concrete case of corruption against the family of Mr President, forward it to the relevant anti corruption agency. Else its all about ghosts and shadows”, Sani said.
