BY EDMOND ODOK – The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has appointed Dr Isa Abdulmumin as the Acting Director of Corporate Communications Department.
Abdulmumin is taking over from Mr Osita Nwanisobi, who has retired from the apex bank, and until his new appointment was a Deputy Director in the Department.
Fondly nicknamed “Baba Kabiru” by Finance Correspondents, Dr Isa is considered as one of the hard working, efficient professionals and egg heads that have been driving the apex Bank Corporate Communications’ activities over the years.
In the media circles, many colleagues easily identify with his professionalism, brilliance, excellent partnership and commitment to work at all times. He also brings to the new assignment his wealth of experience and high level diplomacy in effective service delivery and getting things done on time.
Since joining the apex bank more than a decade ago, Isa has been with the Corporate Communications Department and at some point acted as a Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor, Financial System Stability (FSS) between 2009 and 2011.
His predecessor, Nwanisobi, mounted the saddle in October 2020 following the retirement of Mr Isaac Okorafor from service.
