The Benue State Government on Saturday, May 2, 2026 announced the death of Dr. Agbogbo Ode, the Head of Service of the State.
A statement by the Secretary to the Benue State Government, Serumun Deborah Aber titled; “Death Notification from Benue”, stated that it was with deep sadness and regret that the State Government announces the sudden demise of Dr Ode which took place on Saturday, 2nd May, 2026, after a brief illness.
The statement noted that that the late Dr. Agbogbo Ode was an impeccable technocrat and a highly respected authority in public service, adding that his passing represented a huge loss to the entire state.
According to Aber; “His credible and dependable authority in matters of public service, as well as his hard work, brilliance and immense contributions to the State Civil Service will forever be missed”.
The Benue State Government, on behalf of the entire people of the state, extended deep condolences to family, friends, associates of the late Dr Ode as well as the entire civil service structure in Benue State, and also prayed for the repose of his soul.
