Some returning ward and local government electoral officers that supervised Saturday’s polls in no fewer than 21 councils are reported to have disappeared.
Confirming the disappearance of the electoral officers, Chairman of Kaduna State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Hassan Hyet, said he received report that the whereabouts of returning officers of Saturday’s council poll in 21 LGAs are still unknown.
There is apprehension in the southern part of the state where results collated by party agents and independent observers have indicated that the PDP is coasting home to a clean sweep in both the chairmanship and councillorship seats.
KAD-SIECOM has earlier cancelled polls in Jaba and Kaura on account of ballot snatching, delay in the arrival of electoral materials, among other offences.
