Buhari Appoints Usman Baba Acting IGP
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of the Deputy Inspector-General (DIG), Usman Alkali Baba as the Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP).
According to the Minister of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi, the appointment takes immediate effect.
Dingyadi unveiled the Acting IGP’s appointment while speaking with State House Correspondents at the Presidential villa, Abuja on Tuesday.
On February 4, 2021, the President had unceremoniously extended for three months the tenure of Mohammed Adamu as the IGP.
