Buhari Off To UK Today

BY EDMOND ODOK, ABUJA – Shaking off fatigue from his Wednesday’s official engagement in Lagos, President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to depart for London, the United Kingdom on a private visit later today.

Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Mr President, Femi Adesina, said on Thursday that President Buhari will jet of the country after visiting Maiduguri, the Borno capital in another round of his State visits.

Adesina said in a statement released in Abuja that; “Further to the official visit by President Muhammadu Buhari to Lagos Wednesday, where he commissioned a number of projects executed by the State Government, the President is scheduled to depart for Maiduguri, the Borno State capital for another official visit Thursday.

“He is expected to commission developmental projects especially in the sectors of education, healthcare and roads.”

According to the statement; “At the end of the visit, President Buhari will be proceeding to the United Kingdom on a private visit.”

The statement however said the  President is expected to return to the country on Sunday, May 5, 2019.
