Cache of Dangerous Weapons, Ammunition Uncovered In Bauchi

BY ADEYEMI AKANJI, ABUJA – The Bauchi State Government has ordered for the immediate demolition of a 4-bedroom building discovered to in store over 200 rounds of ammunition and other dangerous weapons.

The ammunition was discovered in the building located in Anguwan Mahaukata within the Bauchi metropolis noted for its notoriety of harboring dangerous boys popularly called ‘Sara-Suka’.

The ammunition and other weapons discovered in the building were evacuated by security agencies that led the opposition.

Following the discovery of the large quantity of ammunition, the State Government ordered for the demolition of the building.

Contacted on the development, the Bauchi State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Ahmed Wakili said that as of the time of this report, he was yet to get the full details of the situation but confirmed that the ammunition was discovered in the building.

Wakili however promised to make the information available to the press as soon as possible.
