A Twitter user, Valiant Samson Idowu-Alaba says a young girl has been apprehended after she went to her school with a gun she intended using to shoot one of her teachers.

The incident reportedly took place at Government Secondary School (GSS) Ikot Ewa, in Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross-River State.

Idowu-Alaba wrote on his personal micro-blogging site, Twitter, that; “A student of Gov’t Secondary School, Ikot Ewa, Cross River state. She went to school with a gun to shoot her teacher; who asked her to cut her coloured her!

According to reports, she decided to take the action because the teacher had ordered her to cut off her coloured hair.

Though the Twitter user did not give so much detail about the teacher and how the gun was discovered, he posted pictures of the girl holding the locally made handgun.

It was learnt the teacher had insisted the coloured hair was against the School’s regulations and cannot be condone. This action infuriated the girl and made her to hatch the alleged plan of killing the teacher.

At the time of filling this report, it was not clear what measures the school authorities may have taken on the issue.

A competent source told Forefront reliably gathered that cult activities have become so prevalent in Akpabuyo Local Government Area to the extent most of the youth are seen openly displaying dangerous weapons during their so-called outings
