Controversial Northwest Governor Behind Northern Version Of Revolutionnow – CNG

BY AMOS TAUNA, KADUNA – Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG), on Wednesday declared that one of the Northwest serving governor is masterminding the proposed northern version of the #Revolutionnow in the region.

CNG further said that the identified governor known to be vocal and controversial is also behind the anti-cabal protest that took place in parts of the North just to cause chaos as a means of avenging his loss in a bid to be made a principal officer in the presidency.

A northern group, the “Joint Northern Action Front,” has called on the north to join the Revolutionnow protest since, according to the group, President Buhari has continued working with a cabal of Mamman Dauda, Ismaila Isa Funtua and Abba Kyari.

The Northern group said that northern Nigeria has been pushed to the wall and is now joining other parts of the country in a prolonged revolution protest until result is achieved.

The CNG spokesman, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman in a press statement said the planned agitation and disturbance is part of a wider agenda aimed at ushering in instability to suit the plan of the governor.

Suleiman further said; “CNG specifically suspect a certain serving governor of one of the northwest states of masterminding the proposed northern version of the #RevolutionNow as well as the anti-cabal protests held earlier to bring about chaos to avenge his loss in a bid to be made principal officer in the presidency.

“We therefore see the planned agitation and disturbance as part of a wider agenda aimed at ushering in instability thereby occasioning a change of structure in the presidency to suit the plan of this governor by whatever means and tactics.

“While the nation is generally convinced about the existence of a certain cabal with ample influence on President Muhammadu Buhari and his policies, we nevertheless believe that it should not be the key focus for the calls to violent confrontation as suggested by organizers of the protests.

“It is observed that without the slightest hint at addressing national grievances, these planned protests only aim to promote the mischievous 2023 political agenda of certain northern politicians by scapegoating other individuals.”

The group’s noted that though dressed in the robes of the botched #RevolutionNow initiated by the Southwest gangs, they said the present concept is ideologically different.

The CNG stated further; “The fact that in spite of the studied and dignified reserve of the north and refusal by its people to engage in the destructive move for the overthrow of a democratic government in the guise of a revolution, fresh attempts are now made to mislead the region into embarking on a journey without knowing the actual destination, gives room for serious concern.”

The spokesman therefore advised the northwest governor involved in what they called unpatriotic plan to desist and call off the plans forthwith, warning that failure to do so, the CNG would not hesitate to expose him and his mischievous plans.

“To our brothers who are misled into accepting to be part of the dangerous agitation, we urge more patriotism on their part and ask them to reconsider their position, keeping in mind how Libya was brought to its present situation.

“We still insist that there are available decent and civilized avenues for approaching and resolving issues that do not necessarily involve violence or resort to unnecessary and counterproductive confrontation,” CNG said.
