COVID-19: Another Nasarawa Lawmaker Hospitalised
BY AHMED TUKUR, LAFIA – Two weeks after a member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Suleiman Adamu died from COVID-19 complications, another his colleague, has been rushed to the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital Lafia.
The lawmaker, who is from Nasarawa west senatorial district was among those that attended the burial rites of the late Hon. Suleiman Adamu.
Although there is no official statement from the state government of what is likely to be responsible for his admission, credible sources confided in Forefront News that the lawmaker has been kept in a discreet location of the hospital.
When contacted, the state director of Public Health Ibrahim Adamu, who is also a member of the State Taskforce on Covid-19 claimed ignorance of the development.
Efforts made to also get the Chairman of the Information Committee of the House of Assembly, Hon. Mohammed Adamu Omadefu to comment on the dicey issue did not yield any result as his telephone lines could not be reached.
