COVID-19 Update: Nigeria Confirms 442 Cases, Records 152 Discharges

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced late on Thursday night that 35 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded, bringing the tally to 442 confirmed cases across the country.

Delivering the usual update on its verified twitter handle, the NCDC said as at 10:20pm on April 16, 2020, the figures showed that the 35 new cases are reported from four states of the Federation.

Going by the official breakdown, 19 of these new cases are in Lagos State; nine (9) in Federal Capital Territory (FCT); five (5) in Kano State; and two (2) in Oyo State.

The NCDC said till date, 152 cases have been treated and discharged from the isolation centres with the numbers of deaths now thirteen (13) in Nigeria
