Damn It: Marriage Is A Scam – Actress Moet Abebe Says

After failed engagement, Nigerian video jockey and actress, Laura Monyeazo Abebe, popularly known and called ‘Moet Abebe’, has declared that marriage is nothing but, a “scam”.

In the words of Abebe, “women only venture into marriage because of societal pressure”.

Speaking with famous media personality, Chude Jideonwo recently, Abebe revealed that she was engaged, but had to call it off because her fiancé abused her.

Explaining further Moet Abebe said that in spite of the fact that she was never married, her position that marriage is a scam was premised on her experience.

Pointedly, she said; “Marriage is a scam. Women only do it because of the pressure of the society. If someone is so particular about something, maybe the person is coming from a place of knowledge or experience.

“I mean, they say experience is the best teacher. Apart from that, I noticed that a lot of people are getting married for the wrong reasons,”

Abebe particularly said that a lot of people are doing it because of the societal pressure.
