DSS Picks Afunanya As New Spokesman

The Department of State Services (DSS) has announced the appointment of Mr P N Afunanya as its new spokesman and public relations officer.

Afunanya is an alumnus of Abia State University where he obtained BA. English in 1997. Twelve (12) years after, in 2009, Afunanya bagged an MA in English from University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. In 2011, he obtained another Masters in Peace and Strategic Studies (2011) at the University of Ilorin.

Currently, the new DSS image maker is pursuing a PhD in Security and Strategic Studies at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

He has attended several courses within and outside and is also a member of several professional bodies within and outside the country.

Afunanya replaces Mr Tony Opuiyo who briefly held sway as the Agency’s spokesperson immediately after the appointment of Matthew Seiyefa as the Acting Director General of DSS. – NAN
