BY VICTOR BUORO, ABUJA – An Edo based human right activist, Barrister Ohaikhire Benson Igbinedion, has asked the national Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to respect the office he is presently occupying and stop the unnecessary noise making on Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki to enable him face the business of the party.
He stressed that Oshiomole’s cacophony on Saraki is a deliberate attempt to divert the attention of Nigerians and cover the many shames of this administration.
Igbinediom noted that Oshiomhole has reduced the office of the national chairman of the APC to that of an unserious, lousy and propagandist fellow, who is only good at noise making.
The rights activist challenged Oshiomhole, who is now pretending to be canvassing good governance and anti-corruption to explain to the people of Edo State how he allegedly squandered trillions of Federal Allocations and Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) he collected during his eight years rule.
The human rights activist insist that Oshiomhole is the least qualified person to talk about corruption in the country today, saying that his actions and programmes in Edo State epitomised corruption.
Igbinedion in a statement he issued in Benin, the Edo State capital promised to expose Oshiomhole at the appropriate time, adding that he has made it known right from the onset Oshiomhole will collapse the APC within a short time of taking over as national chairman owing to his autocratic rule.
According to Igbinediom; “Oshiomhole’s leadership will do more harm than good to the party. I do not intend to dignify him any longer by raising his issue in the media but truth be told; that man is a disaster to APC.
“He should tell the people of Edo how much he is paying as land tax for his house in Iyamho worth over N10 billion and other properties he acquired in Dubai, Cape Town in South Africa, San Francisco, United States of America, a high rise apartment in Atlanta also in America and in London. He is calling everybody a thief but Oshiomhole is the biggest thief in Benin City today.”
Igbinedion further said; “Is it not an irony that Oshiomhole, who mismanaged the financial resources of Edo state, which were entrusted in his care for eight years, has over the night become an anti-corruption crusader.
“I wonder why a President, who claimed to be incorruptible could not identify a corrupt public officer like Oshiomhole. I wonder why a party that claimed to be progressive would have a crook at the helm of its affairs?
“I also wonder why Oshiomhole is busy about the Senate leadership as if Saraki is the only assignment given to him by the party.
“Oshiomhole lives in a glass house and is busy throwing stones. President Muhammadu Buhari will soon find out the real Oshiomhole by the time we provide documents against him.
“If this is the same man that will advertise the products of APC in the general elections, the party won’t fly.”
