According to competent sources, Mailafiya’s freedom has now put to rest the growing tension and apprehension by his admirers, who had become restive and complained of being “already agitated” by the prolonged “engagement” with the men of the Service, without any sign of his regaining freedom.
An insider hinted that though the supporters of the technocrat cum politician had expressed fears and mobilized to avert any attempt to whisk him out of Jos, his lawyer and Plateau State Chairman of Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Yakubu Bawa, who came out of the SSS meeting with Mailafiya earlier doused the tension with assurances that “it will soon be over, and we are coming out soon”.
