Following agitation and backlash over the passage of the Electoral Bill with regards to the transmission of election results to the Independent National Electoral Commission ((INEC) IREV, the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has called for an emergency plenary sitting of the Senate.
The sitting has been scheduled to hold on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 12 noon.
This was contained in a statement by the Clerk of the Senate, Emmanuel Odo, PhD, and requested all Senators to be in attendance.
