Ganduje Congratulates Isiguzo Over Re-election As NUJ President

BY VICTOR BUORO – The Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has congratulated Comrade Chris Isiguzo over his re-election as President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

Governor Ganduje expressed confidence in Isiguzo’s ability as re-elected president to take the practice of journalism and NUJ to the next level.

In a statement by the Kano State Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, the governor challenged him to ensure that professionalism and high ethical standards are entrenched in the practice of journalism in the country.

He also tasked all newly elected officers and members of the Fourth Estate of the Realm to work with Comrade Isiguzo to further develop the country.

The statement also expressed the hope that the re-elected President would discharge the responsibility of leading the NUJ to greater heights of accomplishment with distinction in the coming years.

Furthermore, Governor Ganduje charged Isiguzo to readily key into the desire of Nigerians for good governance and lead the body of journalists to open up new vistas for the practice of journalism in Nigeria.
