An elder statesman and former Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Defence, General Olu Bajowa has described the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi as a humane leader; an agent of love and peace that is worthy of emulation at all times
The retired Army General stated this in his message while joining prominent Nigerians and several Yoruba leaders of thought to congratulate the Ooni on his 45th birthday celebration.
Oba Ogunwusi was born on October 17, 1974 and has held the traditional title of Ooni since October 26, 2015
According to General Bajowa; the Ooni is “a very humane leader, a passionate monarch, and an agent of love, peace and unity to the Yoruba race and Nigeria at large”.
The elder statesman, who is also the Convener of the Legacy Forum, said having followed with keen interest the activities and utterances of the Ooni since his ascendancy to the throne, he is very proud of the traditional ruler’s mien and carriage in discharging his royal duties.
He therefore prayed that the Almighty God will continue to grant him the required wisdom, knowledge and good health to keep up his good work.
General Bajowa also urged every Nigerian in positions of authority and power to imbibe the uncommon humility which the Ooni epitomizes
