BY GRACE ANYANWU, ABUJA – The crisis over the control of the soul and political structures of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State between Governor Godwin Obaseki and National Chairman of the Party, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole is taking a dive for the worse.

This followed what the Edo state government described as the holding of an illegal rally in the state by party faithful loyal to the former governor of the state, Mr. Oshiomhole.

Accordingly, Governor Obaseki-led administration has petitioned the Inspector General of Police and the Director General of the State Security Services (DSS) demanding that the National chairman of APC, Adams Oshiomhole be arrested without further delay.

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Mr. Philip Shuaibu, who confirmed the petition of the state government in an interview with newsmen in Abuja Monday, said that Oshiomhole violated the “no rally directive” of the state government and therefore deserves to be punished in accordance with the law.
