Gunmen kill Gov Yahaya Bello’s Commissioner For Pensions

Dare devil gunmen on Saturday evening killed the Kogi State Commissioner for Pensions, Mr Solomon Adebayo along the Ilorin-Kabba Road.

This was confirmed by the Kogi State Police command which said that the late commissioner was shot in the car he was traveling in while his driver was badly injured.

Until his brutal murder by gunmen, Adebayo was the Kogi State Commissioner for Pensions.

While confirming the incident, spokesman of the Kogi State Police command, William Ayah, explained that the assailants opened fire on Adebayo’s car while on motion thereby killing him on the spot.

The police assured that investigation has commenced with a view to tracking down and arresting the gunmen behind the deadly attack.

The driver of late Adebayo, who escaped death by the whiskers, was rushed to ECWA Hospital, Egbe alongside others injured in the attack while the remains of the slain Adebayo was deposited at the hospital’s mortuary.

The killing of Adebayo, who was the Akeweje of Eri Land in Kogi, was being mourned across the state as the news trickled out last night.

The killing of Adebayo came on the heels of public outcry against the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari failure to address the growing insecurity situation across the country.

Bandits, insurgents and others criminal elements have reportedly taken over large areas in  the different parts of the country wreaking havoc of kidnappings, robberies burning and destruction of villages amongst others vices.

  1. Buhari is incapable of ruling Nigeria because nemesis is tearing him apart. The lives he has destroyed by commission or commission are fighting back. Almost 6 years of Buhari era, what have we achieved? They always come to manufacture fibs(something unimportant) and give decorated reasons as why things are happening the way they are. Where are those who shouted “said Baba!”?
