“As for Peter Obi, one of the few men with integrity in the Nigerian political space, the outcome of the by-election in Kaduna should tell him of what awaits him if he dares have anything to do with El-Rufai in 2027”.

If the ADC is serious about wrestling power from the APC come 2027, its first task is to disassociate itself from the political leprous man called Nasir El-Rufai and send him to the political city gate where leprous politicians live with immediate alacrity.
El-Rufai is a plague and whatever he touches dies immediately. The cosmos and the gods have cursed him because of the blood of the innocents shed while he gloated and boasted as governor of Kaduna state 2015-2023.
The by-election in Kaduna though marred with irregularities of different types shows that his political relevance has reached an all-time low in the state and there is no amount of whitewash that can change that in the foreseeable future.
In 2027, especially people from the Middle Belt are going to vote with so much emotion and sentiments and trust me they are within their rights to do so.
You cannot align with a genocidaire whose abode should be a prison cell for mass atrocities and other crimes and expect his victims and their sympathizers to vote for you.
Chikun-Kajuru are among the worst hit LGAs that are still nursing the wounds inflicted on them by El-Rufai’s Pharaonic regime; 2015-2023. Chikun-Kajuru became graveyards where people were buried in hundreds because of El-Rufai’s inflammatory utterances and bigotic actions.
The Agom Adara was abducted and brutally murdered after ransom was paid on his way back from a meeting with El-Rufai. He was shot at point blank range by some sons of perdition I met in prison who till date have not been convicted of kidnapping and murder despite police investigations revealing they committed the crime. The Agom’s sin was resisting El-Rufai’s attempt to balkanize the Adara chiefdom. El-Rufai went on to do just that, the moment the chief was abducted and murdered. Agom Adara was never replaced but the Adara chiefdom he left behind was balkanised.
Nine Adara elders including the traditional prime minister so to say were arrested and kept in prison for 100 days by El-Rufai for culpable homicide. Eventually, a court dismissed and acquitted them for lack of evidence.
Chikun became one of the most unsafe LGAs in Nigeria under El-Rufai. I say this because as a senior analyst with the Observatory for Religious Freedom in Africa (ORFA) I am privileged to statistics on violence incidents and insecurity in the country.
El-Rufai and his party, the ADC/SDP may have received the beating of their lives in the by-election but my profound disappointment is with the people of Chikun-Kajuru some of whom suddenly forgot all the evils of El-Rufai against them and even came out en masse to welcome him into their land for campaign.
As for Peter Obi, one of the few men with integrity in the Nigerian political space, the outcome of the by-election in Kaduna should tell him of what awaits him if he dares have anything to do with El-Rufai in 2027. The votes he got from Plateau, Nasarawa, Southern Kaduna, Benue, parts of Gombe, Bauchi, Niger, Kogi and other Middle Belt areas will automatically go to BAT, not because the people are really comfortable with the current administration but to prove a point that you cannot reward a genocidaire of their people and get their votes.
The Middle Belt will never support any ticket bearing a man that boasted about paying international terrorists money to ‘stop the killings’ in Southern Kaduna, an action that heightened and spread the killings to other parts of the Middle Belt between 2016 and 2023. The Middle Belt is still suffering from El-Rufai’s romance with local and foreign terrorists.
A word is enough for the wise!
