INEC Releases Time Table For 2019 Polls

BY AMOS DUNIA, ABUJA – The process and preparations for the conduct of the 2019 general elections may have commenced in earnest, following the release of the time table for the conduct of the Presidential, National Assembly, Governorship, State Assembly and Area Councils of the Federal Capital Territory by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Going by the released time table by INEC, the presidential and National Assembly elections will take place before the Governorship and State Assembly elections.
Chairman of the Commission, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, who announced the dates of the scheduled election, said the Presidential and National Assembly elections have been scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 16, 2019.
Prof Yakubu also said that in the same manner, the Governorship and State Assembly elections have been fixed for Saturday March 3, 2019.
