‘Internet Fraud’: EFCC Nabs 120 Suspects In Lagos

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has paraded 120 suspects arrested in Lagos over alleged internet fraud.

According to EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, the suspects, comprising 95 males and 25 females, were arrested on Monday, 19th May 2025 at various locations across the State.

A statement by Oyewale explained that operatives of the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Commission, who effected the arrest in a coordinated raid, also recovered 26 exotic cars, expensive jewellery, smartphones, laptops and incriminating documents, from the suspects.

He said the successful operations followed credible intelligence and thorough surveillance regarding their alleged involvement in internet-related criminal activities.

The EFCC Spokesperson further disclosed that the suspects are currently undergoing further investigation and will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
