Strong indications have emerged that all is not well with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s family in Kogi State as Senator Dino Melaye on Friday rejected his appointment to lead the Party Governorship Campaign Council in the State
Melaye made known his rejection of the Director General position on Friday via his Twitter handle @dino-melaye..
Declining the offer, Melaye wrote: “Let me state categorically that I have turned down the position of Director General of the PDP Kogi State Governorship Campaign Council.”
Senator Melaye, who betrayed emotions and disappointment over his botched governorship ambition, said; “I wish PDP all the best. When truth is a casualty, there is chaos.”
The lawmaker, who represents Kogi West Senatorial district in the National Assembly (NASS), had alleged that he was deliberately cheated out of the Party’s gubernatorial ticket during the primaries held earlier this month
The PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan had informed journalists in Abuja that Senator Melaye has been appointed the Director General of Kogi State Governorship Campaign Council.
