Confirmation has come in the positive that delegates to the just concluded Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Special National Convention/Presidential primaries did return home as instant millionaires.

This is as one of the delegates, Mr Tanko Rossi Sabo, who came back with his share of the bounty decided to touch lives and put smiles on the faces of other community members and families in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

According to Reuben Buhari, a former Special Assistant (SA) Media to late Governor Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa of Kaduna State, ‘Delegate’ Sabo doled out a whopping N7 million to cater for the less privileged in his community.

Buhari said; “He bought jerseys, paid school fees and hospital bills. He distributed the rest to other support groups.”

“Whatever is the argument on whether he was right in collecting the money or not, my consolation is that hundreds of the less privileged in his community are smiling today. For that, I say well done Tanko!,” he added.

Tanko Sabo was among the Kaduna State delegates at the PDP National Convention that saw the emergence of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the opposition party’s presidential flag bearer for the 2023 general elections.

Until now, it was still in the realm of conjectures what could have been the Naira worth of each delegate at the Convention held inside the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja velodrome from Friday, May 27 to Saturday, May 28, 2022.
