Northern CAN Chairman Harps on Security, Salutes Muslims at Eid-el-Fitr
BY CHAMBERLAIN ODEY, JOS – The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria of the nineteen Northern States and the FCT, Reverend Yakubu Pam, has felicitated with the Muslim faithful on the occasion of successful end of the Ramadan, and observation of Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
Rev Pam, who particularly congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari, the Sultan of Sokoto, the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, also tasked Muslims and other well meaning Nigerians to continue to work and pray to end all forms of insecurity that have been plaguing Northern Nigeria in recent years.
The Northern CAN Chairman also urged Muslims to uphold the virtues of love and sharing on this auspicious moment of a religious festival, emphasizing that there can be no better moment than this to fraternize with the poor by sharing and giving out to this vulnerable group to enable them share in the festive mood, and be strengthened in faith.
Pam also reminded Muslims to be conscious of the Covid-19 protocols as directed by the Presidential Task Force as they savour the joy of the festivity, and should continue to pray for peace to reign in Nigeria and the rest of the world.
