Notorious Bandit Leader, Gurgun Daji Killed By Rival Group In Zamfara
One of the most notorious bandit leaders, Kachalla Ibrahim Gurgun Dajo, has been successfully neutralized by a rival group in Kwanar Nasiru, located east of Mada town in Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The rival group after killing Gurgun Daji, left the remains of his body at the scene of the clash.
Gurgun Daji was widely known for his criminal activities that included violent attacks along the Kwatarkwashi-Mada road and other surrounding areas.
The late Gurgun Daji, who had his operational base locatd in Shangel village in east of Mada town, was notorious for purchasing kidnapped victims within Gusau and bargaining with them for higher prize.
The ugly practice widened the scope of his notoriety as well as entrenched his terrorism influence in the region.
Gurgun Daji in addition to numerous attacks on villages, was also involved in harboring other deadly criminal figures such as Bello Taggoje in his residence located in Shangel village.
He was believed to have a large group of followers involved in various acts of banditry and terror across the area in addition to his having a large number of followers whom he trained in various acts of banditry and terror across the area.
The death of Gurgun Daji, who was a known key figure in the region’s network of armed banditry, marked a paradigm shift in the war against criminality in Zamfara State.
