Ozubulu Attack: Health Ministry Deploys Standby Team For Support
Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Health on Monday said it has deployed placed medical experts on standby to beef up services at the Nnamdi Azikwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, for injured worshippers in the Ozubulu church attack.
In a statement signed by the Director of Media and Public Relations, Mrs Boade Akinola, the Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole, was quoted to have described the attack as shocking and assured the Chief Medical Director of the hospital of immediate support by the Federal Government.
Adewole commiserated with the government and people of Anambra on the unfortunate incident.
The early Sunday morning attack on St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of the state, claimed 11 lives with 18 others injured.
Meanwhile, Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra has vowed that no stone will remain unturned to apprehend those behind the dastardly act.
