PMB Orders Publication Of Looters’ Names

BY VICTOR BUORO, ABUJA – The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Malam Abubakar Malami (SAN) has announced the approval of President Muhammadu Buhari for the declassification of the names of looters in the country.

Malami said towards this end, the President has directed all relevant agencies of government to compile names of all looters with a view to enforcing the ruling of a Federal High Court in Lagos ordering the Federal Government to release to Nigerians information about the names of high ranking public officials from whom public funds were recovered.

A Federal High Court in Lagos had equally ordered the Federal Government to tell Nigerians the circumstances under which funds were recovered as well as the exact amount of funds recovered from each public official so far.
