The Publisher/Editor-in-chief of National Waves Newspaper and Magazine, Mr. Jimmy Enyeh, has described the current economic challenges being faced by citizens as a period of ‘great national reawakening,’ marked by a transition of governance and pressures on marginalized Nigerians due to the economic downturn.

Enyeh, who stated this at the 15th Annual Lectures and Award ceremony of National Waves Newspapers in Abuja, said that the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration offers a ray of hope for the nation’s economic and national unity.

He said that despite the current challenges, there is a ray of hope in the administration of President Tinubu’s ability to navigate the challenges and mend the division caused by recent election disputes.

According to Enyeh; “In spite of the seeming gloom over the harsh economic conditions, there is a glimmer of hope in the current administration to do the right thing, put the economy on the right footing, heal the wounds engendered by the election fallouts, and restore hope”.

Also speaking, the Director General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, said that there was the urgent need more than ever before to ensure the growth of the tourism sector.
