Resign Now, PDP Reps Tell Buhari

Rising from an emergency meeting on Thursday morning in Abuja, members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the House of Representatives have called on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign his position due to his ailing health condition.
Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, The House Minority Leader, Rep Leo Ogor, explained that considering the performance profile of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last two years, it is obvious that there is vacancy in Aso Rock. He said the APC-led Federal Government has been full of promises, but short in delivery.
The position of the lawmakers may not be unconnected with speculations that despite assurances given by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, there is much to be worried over the health status of the President who is now in his third month in London, United Kingdom, on medical follow-up.
Tension and confusion in the PDP was yesterday laid to rest, following the Supreme Court verdict that upheld the Sen. Ahmed Makarfi-led leadership of the party. With the verdict, according to a PDP source, the party is poised to unite and provide a vibrant platform for credible opposition to the APC.
