Resolving Strike: Minister Of Education Meets ASUU

As part of efforts of finding a solution to the protracted strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the Federal Government is meeting with the members of the Union towards resolving the crisis.
The Federal Government which is beingrepresented by the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu is desirous to end six months old strike in public universities.
The meeting, it was gathered followed the directive of President Muhammadu Buhari for the Minister to address the key demands of ASUU.
The demands include the adoption of Universities Transparency Accountability System (UTAS) and not limited to the salaries of the striking lecturers which has been stopped since March 2022.
The meeting is expected to put an end to the incessant strike affecting public universities as well as reposition universities across the country
Adamu is expected to brief the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday this week.
