School Building Collapses On Students Writing Exams In Jos

Several students are currently trapped in a two-storey school building that collapsed at Saint Academy in Busa Buji community of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

According to eyewitnesses, the building caved in around 10 am on Friday, leaving some students who were writing their examinations trapped.

It was gathered that as news of the unfortunate incident broke, distraught parents, guardians and residents rushed to the school to check on their wards.

Many people were seen grieving, while security personnel and emergency workers struggled to rescue survivors from the rubble.

Reports confirmed that rescue operations are currently ongoing, and security personnel, including soldiers and police, are already at the incident scene to aid the process.

The cause of the building collapse and the number of students trapped is yet to be confirmed by the school authorities even as the full extent of damage cannot be accertain as of press time.
