BY AMOS DUNIA, ABUJA – The US-Nigeria Law Group has described last Friday re-arrest of the Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), in the 2019 election, Mr. Omoleye Sowore by the Department of State Services as a resurgence of barbarism of the highest order.

This was contained in a statement by the Head of the Group, Barrister Emmanuel Ogebe, who also said that the action which took place in the court, said it is clearly a tactical blunder coming on the heels of US Senator Menendez’s letter to Ambassador Nsofor regarding his detention barely a week ago.

Ogebe said the action of the administration is not only wicked but witless, stressing that it has stolen defeat from the jaws of victory

In the words of Ogebe; “America’s Democracy is impeaching a president while  Nigeria’s President is impeaching a Democracy.”
